The City of Anacortes and Fidalgo Island are a community with connections.
Halfway between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., Highway 20 heads west from Interstate 5 through Skagit Valley’s verdant farmland, and over an elegant arching bridge onto Fidalgo Island, the easternmost island in the San Juan archipelago. A few miles further, Highway 20 Spur delivers you to the small city of Anacortes, WA, anchoring Fidalgo’s northern tip.
As home to the Washington State Ferry terminal, Fidalgo is linked by a scenic boat ride with the rest of the San Juans as well as Sidney/Victoria, British Columbia. And on its southern end, dramatic Deception Pass bridge connects Fidalgo to Whidbey Island.
Tucked throughout the island are a host of professional services, some homegrown and others brought with them by newcomers. |
